AMC School of Dance is an independent community dance school based in Quorn near Loughborough, Leicestershire. Formed in 2011, AMC hold classes 3 classes across 6 days a week and currently offers classes in Tots Creative Movement, Ballet, Modern & Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet en Pointe, Commercial and Street dance. We also run a range of classes for adults of all ages and abilities, perfect for anyone that wants to revisit dance, learn something new - and have a natter!

Dance is a fantastic hobby to take up with benefits including keeping fit, improving coordination and building teamworking skills, whilst making friends and having fun. However, we at AMC go a little bit further than that with key beliefs that make us different from all other dance groups in the area.

 What makes AMC different?

• Every class is well structured starting with a warm up or ice-breaker warm up, steps and routines and then learning/putting together a dance. We ensure that every pupil feels involved and included throughout the class (there's no teacher's favourites at AMC) and encourage working together as a team.  
   

• We create all of our own content, choreography and syllabi based on years' of training, education and experience.  We have created our own home-grown team of wonderful instructors who embody what AMC is all about.
   

• As well as teaching dance steps, routines and dances; AMC focusses on developing pupils' ability to express themselves and enhancing their performance skills. This is great for building confidence and self development.
   

• There are no exams or competitions! We believe that dance should be fun and not stressful which is why we have a no exams ethic. Parents and guardians can see their child's progress at our shows and medal sessions.
   

• We focus on keeping the costs down. Dance can often be very expensive with an expectation for parents to spend hundreds of pounds on show costumes. All of our shows work on extremely tight costume and cost budgets.  We also have a a multi-class discount for our School of Dance classes, that runs per family not just per student - meaning if you have 2 children that take 1 class each, you will still benefit from our discounts; as well as a price cap.

Shows and Displays

We always put on an annual production and a festive display for parents, guardians and friends. These are fantastic opportunities to see what your child has learnt and be thoroughly entertained by our vibrant performances. Shows are a great event for all the family. 

We also hold at least one Medal session every year. This is a chance for all pupils to perform a solo or duet dance in front of parents, guardians and friends and receive a medal for their achievement from a VIP.
 

As well as holding our own shows and performances, we also arrange theatre trips, workshops, parties and events throughout the year that all of our pupils and their families can get involved in and enjoy.
