Based in Quorn, near Loughborough in Leicestershire, AMC School of Dance is an award-winning, independent community dance school with over 360 members. We offer joyful, inclusive, and professionally run dance classes for everyone from 18 months to adults of all ages, with a strong focus on confidence, creativity, and community.
At AMC, we do more than teach steps and routines - we help every dancer grow in self-expression, coordination, and confidence, all in a supportive, nurturing environment. Our classes are thoughtfully planned and delivered by an experienced team, with a strong emphasis on care, encouragement, and creating a space where everyone can thrive.
We offer classes in four main areas:

AMC Tots (18 months – School Starters)
Gentle, imaginative sessions that build the very first foundations of movement, rhythm, and ballet in a fun, relaxed setting. -
School of Dance Classes (Reception – Young Adults)
A wide range of classes including Ballet, Tap, Modern & Jazz, Contemporary, Street, Commercial, and Ballet en Pointe - all taught with kindness, encouragement, and a focus on progress without pressure. -
Adult Classes (All ages & abilities)
Super fun adult classes in Ballet, Tap, and Modern/Jazz—perfect whether you’re returning to dance or trying something new in a sociable, relaxed environment. -
Outreach & Community Programmes (All ages)
We lead tailored sessions in nurseries, primary schools, and care homes (including dementia-friendly dance), as well as delivering bespoke workshops and events for a range of organisations.
We are proud of our no exams and non-competitive approach. At AMC, dance is for everyone - there’s no pressure, just plenty of support and opportunities to shine. Dancers are invited to perform in our annual shows, festive displays, and medal sessions, with a strong emphasis on joy, teamwork, and personal growth.
